Mineola responded with a five run fifth inning to take the lead, but Fairfield answered back in the bottom half of the inning. Gustavo Aguilera stole home and Murphy delivered an RBI single to tie the game at 7 to 7. Mineola regained the lead in the sixth inning and held on for the win.
