Fairfield Eagles Fall to Frankston
The Fairfield Eagles faced a tough matchup Friday, falling to Frankston 10 to 0.
Frankston took control early with a five run first inning and continued to add runs in the second and third to extend the lead. Despite the loss, Fairfield played clean defense and did not commit an error in the game.
Landon Cockerell started on the mound for the Eagles, pitching two innings with one strikeout. Frankston’s Kayson Poe earned the win after throwing four scoreless innings.
Offensively, Landon Bostic and Logan Williams each recorded a hit for Fairfield. Defensively, Braxton Burns led the Eagles with four plays in the field.
