Fairfield Eagles Fall to Center After Big Fourth Inning

The Fairfield Eagles were defeated by Center 13 to 6 on Saturday after a big fourth inning shifted momentum in the game.

Fairfield got on the board early with a run in the first inning and added another in the second to take an early lead. Center responded with an eight run fourth inning and added five more runs in the fifth to pull away.

Gustavo Aguilera started on the mound for the Eagles, striking out eight batters over three and two thirds innings. Despite allowing no hits early, Center capitalized on opportunities to take control of the game.

Offensively, Zechariah Smith and Landon Cockerell each drove in two runs for Fairfield. The Eagles were aggressive on the bases and finished with four stolen bases.
