The Fairfield Lady Eagles picked up an 11 to 5 win over Palestine on Tuesday.

Fairfield took control in the third inning. Cariss Capps drove in a run on a groundout, and Evelyn Fultz followed with a two run single to give the Lady Eagles the lead.

Haylee Allen added to the momentum in the fifth inning with a solo home run to center field.

Payton Mims started in the circle for Fairfield and pitched six innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out three. Allen came in for relief and threw one scoreless inning.

The Lady Eagles finished with 12 hits. Kaylie Ridge, Haylee Allen, Cadence Webster, and Payton Mims each collected two hits. Fultz and Capps both drove in two runs. Fairfield was aggressive on the bases as well, recording four stolen bases.

Fairfield returns to action Friday at Buffalo.
