Fairfield boys powerlifting competed yesterday at the Region 2 Division 3 meet in West, earning strong results and advancing three athletes to the State Meet.

Austin Solis led the way as the 148-pound class champion and was also named Most Outstanding Squatter on the lightweight platforms. Gage Wendt placed 3rd in the same weight class, and Yoel Munoz finished 4th in the 114-pound division. Mason Edwards added a 5th place finish in the 220-pound class.

Solis, Wendt, and Edwards have qualified for the State Meet, which will be held March 27 in Abilene.

Other Fairfield athletes competing included Francisco Espinoza, Logan Williams, Armando Charles, AJ Garcia, and Garrett Bosley.
