The Fairfield Eagles are off to a strong start after Day 1 of the District Golf Tournament.

The boys team sits in 1st place overall with a team score of 339. Hudson Little leads the field in 1st place individually, and Aaron Evans is close behind in 2nd place.

On the girls side, Haddie Owen is in 2nd place after the opening round.

With one round complete, the Eagles are in a great position, but there is still more golf to be played. The tournament will continue with Day 2 next Monday at Tri-County Golf Club in Teague.
