Fairfield High School student-athletes Connor Colvert and Finn Smith have been recognized by the Texas High School Coaches Association with Spring Academic All-State honors, a distinction that highlights excellence in both academics and athletics.

Connor Colvert was named to the Elite Team for baseball, one of the highest honors awarded through the program. Finn Smith earned Academic All-State Honorable Mention for track, recognizing his strong performance in the classroom while competing at a high level.

The THSCA Academic All-State program honors senior student-athletes, trainers, and managers who demonstrate outstanding achievement in academics. Selections are based on a combination of grade point average, class rank, and ACT or SAT scores. Students must be seniors, in good standing with their team, of strong character, and maintain a minimum GPA of 92 on a 100-point scale, including coursework from grades 9 through 12.

Each nominee is evaluated using a point system that considers GPA, class rank, and test scores. The total points earned determine placement on the Academic All-State teams, including Elite, First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention.

These honors reflect the discipline, commitment, and work ethic required to succeed both in competition and in the classroom. Fairfield ISD is proud of Connor and Finn for representing Fairfield High School with excellence.
