Fairfield Eagles Come Up Short Against Academy in Game 1

The Fairfield Eagles fell 7–2 to Little River Academy on Thursday at Pete J. Bienski, Jr. Athletic Complex in Mumford in Game 1 of the Bi-District series.

Academy took an early lead in the second inning and added to it throughout the game. Fairfield finished with five hits on the night, with Landon Cockerell, Kohl Collins, Connor Colvert, Collen Loviette, and Gustavo Aguilera each recording one hit.

Aguilera went four innings on the mound, allowing four runs, two earned, while striking out five.

The Eagles will look to bounce back in Game 2 on Friday at 7 PM.
